I would not recomend anyone use Amethon. They are too expensive and it is really heavy on the page load and you can just use Google Analytics which is free. Why pay for this stuff?

Marcus, Tim Parsons co-founder of Mobile Monday Sydney here.
I’ve asked Michael Stone of Amethon to post a reply to your comment above so he can respond to the points you’re making.

Hi Marcus,
Not sure why you would make such a comment - I have never met you and you clearly don’t know anything about our product or measuring mobile browsing activity in general. Were you even at MoMoSydney when I presented?
1. Mobile Analytics passively analyses the TCP/IP traffic at the server using a port mirror which adds no delay or latency. We do not use any page tag unlike all of our competitors including Google Analytics (6kb JavaScript download). As such, there is absolutely no page load introduced by our solution.
2. Most handsets don’t support JavaScript so Google Analytics is totally inappropriate for analysing mobile websites. Our own analysis as well as independent reports (http://www.brysonmeunier.com/mobile-analytics-with-google-analytics/) suggest that GA only reports between 10% and 20% of mobile traffic.
3. Our Mobile Analytics solution provides a number of additional metrics that are relevant to mobile content publisher including:
- Mobile handsets brand/model breakdown
- Mobile operator and country identification
- Content download reporting (ringtones, videos, wallpapers, etc)
- Data usage reporting
